We are excited for you to apply to our Business Systems Analyst position in St Paul, MN. This position provides information technology solutions to support business processes. The incumbent will also be responsible for a variety of analysis functions including business and technical requirements solicitation, technical design, meeting facilitation, and software testing. This position has the opportunity to work remotely up to 2 days per week, as project assignments allow.

Day in the life of a Business Systems Analyst
- Strategy and Planning: Manage complex projects including time and priority management, risk assessment, and resource allocation. Review purchased solutions to ensure features and functions meet requirements.
- Operational Activities: Collaborate with project sponsors to develop work requests for submission. Translate conceptual user requirements into functional requirements in a clear manner that is comprehensible to stakeholders and project teams. Provide tier 2 production support for end users of custom software systems. Conduct reviews of the business requirements to ensure that system requirement specifications are correctly interpreted.
- Process and Procedures: Develop and utilize standard templates to accurately and concisely write requirements specifications. Work on enhancing the Solution Delivery Methodology (SDM). Research, review, and analyze the effectiveness and efficiency of existing processes/systems.
What experience can you bring?
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in an analyst role or in an IT environment is required.
- Demonstrated interpersonal skills to successfully communicate both verbally and written.
- Ability to quickly learn and effectively use new processes and procedures to meet business initiatives.
- Ability to work effectively on teams by building strong relationships, listening to others, valuing opinions, and helping team to meet goals.
- Demonstrated ability to apply technical understanding to a broad range of applications and complex data models.
- Understanding of process modeling and various other design tools and methodologies is strongly desired.
- Proven ability to work with users in complex problem solving and troubleshooting scenarios.
