We are excited for you to apply for our Loan Officer position in Manitowoc, Little Chute, or Sturgeon Bay, WI. You will be part of a tremendous team that focuses on doing the right thing for our customers.  You will be responsible for maintaining and growing a portfolio.  Networking, sales calls, and developing relationships are only some activities you will be expected to participate in to grow your portfolio. You will be required to develop and maintain a significant professional presence throughout the local community in addition to making formal presentations to various local and regional groups. Applicants with a proven record of building relationships with key influencers in addition to experience in the mortgage or financial services industry preferred.

Major Responsibilities:

  • Combine agricultural and business knowledge with an in-depth understanding of each customer’s current financial position to provide innovative and workable alternatives to solve problems the customer faces in their ongoing farming operations.
  • Develop and maintain a significant professional presence throughout the local community.
  • Analyze directly (or with a Credit Analyst) moderately sized mortgage and commercial loan requests in a detailed, accurate, and timely manner.
  • Gather financial information and build customer relationships by listening to their needs, identifying latent needs, and providing solutions or alternatives.
  • Maintain a sales database file, establish ongoing prospecting plans and activities, and develop a commitment to individual sales goals for both loans and financial services.

 

Position Requirements...

  • Bachelor’s degree in agriculture, business administration, finance, or related field.
  • 1+ years of experience in the agribusiness/farming industry or equivalent experience in agriculture credit or closely related field experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of loan products and services and credit operations.
  • Knowledge of farm production methods and products.
  • A general understanding of farm business management, finance, and macroeconomics.
  • Proven track record of prospecting new business and enhancing existing relationships is preferred. 
  • Demonstrate interpersonal skills to successfully communicate both verbally and written.
  • Ability to work effectively on teams by building strong relationships, listening to others, valuing opinions, and helping team to meet goals.
  • Registration in the Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System & Registry (NMLS) will be completed upon extension and acceptance of employment offer.
