Day in the life of Loan Officer:

  • Building Customer Relationships: As a Loan Officer you will gather financial information from customers and listen attentively to their needs. By identifying both expressed and latent needs, you'll be able to provide tailored solutions or alternatives that meet their specific requirements.
  • Maintaining Sales Database: You'll maintain a comprehensive sales database file, ensuring all customer interactions and transactions are accurately recorded. Additionally, you'll establish ongoing prospecting plans and activities to attract new customers while nurturing existing relationships.
  • Setting Sales Goals: You'll develop a commitment to individual sales goals for both loans and financial services, striving to exceed targets and contribute to the overall success of GreenStone.
  • Collaborating with Specialists: You'll have the opportunity to make joint sales calls with tax, accounting, insurance, or other specialists, showcasing GreenStone's wide range of financial services and exceptional customer service.
  • Differentiating GreenStone: You'll differentiate GreenStone as the go-to organization for a variety of financial services, demonstrating a commitment to exceeding customer expectations in every interaction.
  • Community Engagement: You'll actively contribute to GreenStone's image as the leading financial institution by maintaining a significant professional presence throughout the local community. This involvement will help strengthen relationships and build trust within the community.
  • Analyzing Loan Requests: You'll analyze moderately sized mortgage and commercial loan requests, either independently or with a Credit Analyst. Your detailed, accurate, and timely analysis will ensure that loan decisions align with GreenStone's risk parameters and customer needs.

 

What Experience do you bring?

  • Bachelor's Degree required
  • 1+ years of experience in the agribusiness/farming industry or equivalent experience in agriculture credit or closely related field experience required

  • Basic knowledge of loan products and services and credit operations
  • Knowledge of farm production methods and products
  • General understanding of farm business management, finance, macroeconomics
