Are you passionate about community engagement and marketing outreach? GreenStone is seeking a dynamic Marketing Outreach Specialist to join our team. This position is responsible for the development, implementation, and execution of GreenStone’s corporate sponsorships, outreach programs, customer education, trade shows, and events that effectively support our market strategy, increase awareness, and enhance the GreenStone brand. Working Hours: Enjoy a consistent schedule of 8am-4:30pm, Monday – Friday providing you with a stable work-life balance.

Location: This position is a hybrid role with a combination of working both in office in our East Lansing, MI corporate and remotely. A schedule of expected onsite and remote workdays will be discussed during the interview process.

Day in the life of a Marketing Outreach Specialist

Sponsorships and Outreach Support:

  • Develop goals, strategies, and guidelines for charitable giving, staff involvement, community and organizational partnerships, and signature programs aligned with the association’s strategic business objectives.
  • Direct the effective execution of corporate donations, sponsorships, and giving requests, providing support in evaluating opportunities, determining giving levels, and overseeing the budget. Ensure equitable administration in alignment with established guidelines while capturing the most value for GreenStone.

Education and Event Engagement:

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive events and education strategy to engage customers and promote the company’s products, services, and expertise.
  • Lead the planning, organizing, and executing of events and educational programs that engage and inform our customers, enhancing their experience and loyalty.
  • Coordinate GreenStone’s participation in corporate-sponsored industry events, educational seminars, activities, and trade shows.
  • Plan, organize, and attend community events, workshops, and meetings to promote the company’s mission and services.
  • Develop educational and presentation materials, create interactive tools, and steward staff engagement with these organizations and their representation of GreenStone at events to support customer learning and engagement.
  • Oversee tradeshow equipment and execution for corporate-sponsored events and assist branch staff with any display and material needs for regional and local events planned and supported by branch staff.
  • Support internal and external association events and meetings coordination, management, and execution as needed.

Program Coordination:

  • Maintain relationships with key stakeholders, partners, and industry influencers to enhance the company’s reputation and reach.
  • Execute initiatives aligned with CultivateGrowth to inform and support young, beginning, and small farmers.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to align outreach efforts with overall marketing and communication strategies.
  • Strengthen and manage the Outreach and Engagement Committee and oversee the execution of deliverables as outlined in the charter.

What Experience do you bring?

  • Bachelor’s Degree required, with majors in Public Relations, Community Relations, Business, Communications, or Marketing preferred.
  • 3+ years of experience in community relations, outreach program management, public relations, event management, or a related role required.
