Working Hours: Enjoy a consistent schedule of 8am-4:30pm, Monday – Friday providing you with a stable work-life balance.

Location: East Lansing, MI This position is a hybrid role with 3 days in the office and 2 days remote. A schedule of expected onsite and remote workdays will be discussed during the interview process.

Day in the life of a Marketing Communications Specialist :

  • Supporting Brand Identity: Develop and implement communication strategies that consistently reinforce and enhance the GreenStone brand across all touchpoints, with a focus on audience adaptation and engagement.
  • Content Creation: Create compelling written, verbal, and audio communications that showcase GreenStone's values, achievements, and offerings. This includes serving as a copy author and editor for internal and external outreach mediums such as intranet postings, memos, website content, magazine articles, emails, advertisements, promotional materials, press releases, media advisories, and social networks.
  • Storytelling: Utilize your storytelling skills to effectively narrate the GreenStone story through engaging customer and employee narratives and content that resonates with our target audience.
  • Corporate Communications Coordination: Assist in coordinating and monitoring corporate communications to ensure consistency and uniformity across all communication channels.
  • Media Relations: Develop and nurture relationships with key media contacts to position GreenStone as an expert and thought leader in the industry. Leverage these relationships to secure regional print, online, and broadcast interviews and placements across various media channels. Additionally, build and maintain relationships with top media publications, podcasts, and broadcast outlets.
  • Project Management: Collaborate with the Marketing and Public Relations Department on idea generation, plan development, and execution of high-impact marketing and public relations campaigns. Provide leadership and guidance on assigned projects, ensuring brand message inclusion in strategic planning, execution, and ongoing maintenance. Communicate project status and expectations effectively to team members.

 

What Experience do you bring?

  • Bachelor's degree required with majors in Communications, Creative Writing, Journalism and Public Relations preferred.
