At GreenStone Farm Credit Services, we believe in the power of effective marketing and communication to tell our story and engage our audiences. We're looking for a talented intern to join our Marketing and Public Relations Department and play a crucial role in shaping our brand narrative.

This is a paid internship with an hourly rate of $19/hour.

Duration: May 2024- August 2024

Hours: Enjoy a consistent schedule of 8am-4:30pm, Monday – Friday, providing you with a stable work-life balance.

Location: Based in our East Lansing, MI office, you'll have the opportunity to contribute to the local community while being an integral part of our organization.

Key Responsibilities of a Marketing & Writing Intern:

• Marketing and PR Support: Assist the Marketing and Public Relations Department in developing and contributing to public relations and marketing plans, enhancing our presence both internally and externally.
• Content Creation: Develop a wide range of content for GreenStone's owned media channels, including social media, blogs, website, intranet, and publications. This includes conducting interviews, writing feature articles, producing short and long-form blogs, recording v-logs, and capturing photos.
• Social Media Engagement: Support social media engagement by creating and curating content, monitoring social channels, and fostering meaningful interactions with our audience.
• Market Research: Conduct market research and trend analysis to inform marketing and communication strategies.
• Storytelling: Interact with staff, customers, and community partners to identify and tell the GreenStone story, showcasing our values and impact.
• Team Collaboration: Support department efforts as needed, collaborating with the team to achieve marketing and communication objectives.

Requirements:

• Must be pursuing a bachelor’s degree in marketing, Public Relations, Communications, Agribusiness, or related field.

• Sophomore status or above in your academic program.
• A minimum GPA of 3.00 is required.
• Strong interest in or prior experience working in the agricultural sector.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Self-motivated and eager to learn.
