We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Financial Planning & Accounting Analyst to join our dynamic Finance team. This role provides key financial insights to Finance VPs, the CFO, department leaders, and staff by delivering accurate reporting, budgeting, and strategic analysis. The ideal candidate will have strong technical skills, a deep understanding of financial data, and the ability to turn complex data into actionable insights.

Key Responsibilities:

Financial Planning & Analysis

  • Support the Controller with the budgeting process, variance analysis, and long-term strategic planning.
  • Assist in the development and analysis of annual incentive goals and payouts.
  • Consolidate and analyze large datasets into clear reports, dashboards, and presentations using business intelligence tools.
  • Provide financial modeling and analysis to support strategic initiatives across departments.
  • Ensure data accuracy and alignment with system records through validation and reconciliation.
  • Contribute to Finance Committee and Board report preparation and analysis.
  • Offer proactive recommendations based on financial analysis.

Financial and Regulatory Reporting

  • Partner with the VP – Controller to fulfill internal and external financial reporting needs.
  • Prepare documentation and analytics for quarterly and annual regulatory filings.
  • Develop presentations for senior management and Board meetings.
  • Assist in month-end close activities including accruals and interest expense allocation.
  • Complete general ledger reconciliations and resolve outstanding issues.

Finance Department Support

  • Deliver accurate and timely data analysis by extracting and transforming data from multiple systems.
  • Recommend improvements and automation opportunities in reporting processes and tools.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives across the Finance department and partner functions.

 

 

What Experience can you Bring?

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Agribusiness, or a related field required.
  • 1+ years of experience in financial planning, reporting, or data analysis is required.
  • Strong proficiency in GAAP and accounting principles.
  • Experience with Excel, Word and Outlook is required.
  • Critical thinking and analytical skills with high attention to detail.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage shifting tasks efficiently.
  • Strong reading comprehension and deductive reasoning skills.
  • Experience with SQL, Power BI, Infor, and OneStream (preferred).
  • Familiarity with enterprise planning software such as OneStream is a plus.
