GreenStone Farm Credit Services is seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Financial Accounting and Reporting Analyst to join our finance team. This role is responsible for providing organizational business-level financial data, reporting, and analysis. The successful candidate will ensure the accuracy of financial reporting and closely monitor data to support business decision-making.

Day in the life of a Financial Accounting and Reporting Analyst

 

  • Analyze technology costs and budgets along with performing Technology Collaboration accounting/billing responsibilities monthly.
  • Prepares monthly analysis and management reporting of critical business financial metrics like net interest margin and spread. 
  • Creates and develops accurate, consistent, and timely reporting by extracting information from various applications and systems, manipulating data, and developing user friendly final outputs.
  • Assist in quarterly CECL (current estimated credit losses) processes and calculations to determine and document an appropriate allowance for loan losses.
  • Prepare general ledger reconciliations as assigned and follow up on outstanding items.
  • Responds to inquiries on variances from partners and auditors
  • Assist with annual customer cash payback program
  • Assists in providing continuous improvement by making recommendations to automate, refine, and implement processes, tools, and deliverables both within Finance and supporting business functions.

What Experience do you bring?

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, agribusiness or related major required.
  • Critical thinking with sound accounting judgment and analytic skills are required. 
  • 1+ years’ accounting, finance or data analysis experience
  • Must be proficient in fundamental accounting principles and understanding of accounting transactions.
  • Must be proficient in computer technology and Microsoft applications along with financial reporting applications and budgeting systems.

 

What sets you Apart?

  • Knowledge of or ability to quickly learn SQL queries, Power BI, and/or OneStream are helpful.
  • 3+ years’ accounting, finance or data analysis experience
  • Experience in a financial institution preferred
