We are looking for an experienced Capital Markets Credit Officer to join our Capital Markets team. This position will support the Capital Markets team by providing underwriting, structuring, and industry expertise that facilitates effective marketplace delivery while maintaining sound credit administration and asset quality. In addition, Capital Markets Credit Officers work closely with Relationship Managers to serve and manage our existing customer relationships as well as grow the portfolio. The Capital Markets Credit Officer prepares credit packages to make recommendations regarding strategy by evaluating credit risk, business model assessments, deal structure, by analyzing financial, operational, and industry factors for new and existing customers.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Conducts credit investigations and works with relationship mangers to create credit proposals for lending relationships.
- Reviews all pertinent credit and financial information and determines the need for more thorough investigation or additional information. Analyzes financial statements and related material to prepare summaries, present facts, and offer opinions concerning credit worthiness.
- Assists with credit administration, account servicing, and credit monitoring.
- Monitors assigned accounts noting trends and compliance with covenants, providing timely updates to internal stakeholders.
- Maintains expertise in designated industries or market sectors and keeps Capital Markets leadership apprised of trends, opportunities, and competitive activity.
- Assists in the development of new business and participates in meetings and other activities.
- Adds value to account relationships and supports the achievement of profitability and credit quality goals through interactions with staff and customers.
- Reviews credit documentation for conformity with approved terms and conditions.
- Participates in projects and performs other duties as needed by the Capital Markets Team.
This position requires:
- Bachelor's degree in business, finance, or relevant discipline.
- 5+ years in credit analysis/underwriting, financial services, or agricultural lending experience
Preferred Qualifications
- Advanced knowledge of credit and financial analysis, including cash flow analysis, balance sheet analysis, profitability, liquidity, and solvency analysis.
- Intermediate knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), taxation, legal forms of organizations, and business law.
- Intermediate knowledge of financial modeling techniques and preparation of pro forma financial statements.
- Knowledge of typical credit underwriting practices, procedures, processes, collateral valuation, and documentation.
- Ability to work independently with minimal guidance, as well as collaboratively in a team environment.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to meet deadlines and adjust to changing priorities.
- Excellent verbal and written communication. Excellent active listening skills.
- Availability for occasional work outside normal business hours and occasional travel.
