This position is eligible for a hybrid schedule with a required 3 days in the East Lansing, MI office.

Day in the life of a Business Systems Analyst

 

  • Leading discovery and requirements sessions with business stakeholders.
  • Documenting business use cases, user requirements, and creating various flow and process diagrams.
  • Working alongside developers and other BSA’s as application solutions are designed and developed.
  • Conducting collaborative business meetings with our partners and stakeholders providing critical project information and gaining approval for various solutions.
  • Serving as level two support for incidents related to our business products and applications.
  • Working with your flight team to refine work items, estimate effort, and plan-out work for a 2-week Agile sprint cycle.
  • Building and configuring workflows and prompts
  • Submitting change requests and promoting code to lower region environments

 

What Experience can you Bring?

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science or related field is required.
  • 0-5 years of experience in an analyst role or IT environment is required.
  • Demonstrated interpersonal skills to successfully communicate both verbally and written.
  • Ability to quickly learn and effectively use new process and procedures to meet business initiatives.
  • Ability to work effectively on teams by building strong relationships, listening to others, valuing opinions, and helping team to meet goals.
  • Demonstrated ability to apply technical understanding to a broad range of applications and complex data models.
  • Understanding of process modeling and various other design tools and methodologies is strongly desired.
  • Proven ability to work with users in complex problem solving and troubleshooting scenarios.
  • Knowledge of SharePoint, Salesforce, NCino, Content Management System is preferred.
  • Experience with Azure DevOps is desired.
  • Knowledge of creating SQL queries is desired.
