Day in the life of an Agricultural Insurance Sales Specialist:

  • Build Customer Relationships: Actively markets to potential customers, strategically identifying and cultivating relationships that align with GreenStone goals. Communicates transparently with new and existing customers, offering tailored recommendations for insurance products, including upsells and optional coverages that address their specific needs.
  • Efficient Claims Management: Files and tracks customer policy claims, serving as a dedicated point of contact between insurance companies and customers for inquiries, claims, or servicing issues.
  • Technical Expertise and Training: Maintains a thorough understanding of hail and multi-peril crop insurance, staying informed about changes from insurance companies or governmental agencies. Ensures timely receipt and processing of paperwork for seasonal deadlines, guiding Crop Insurance Technicians and conducting insurance product training for both staff and customers.
  • Collaborative Relationship Building: Acts as a liaison between insurance companies and customers, fostering strong relationships to address policy inquiries and service-related issues. Collaborates effectively with Financial Services Officers, utilizing knowledge of insurance products to identify new business opportunities and meet evolving customer needs.

 

What Experience can you Bring?

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, agriculture, or a related field.
  • 1+ years’ experience in the agriculture or in the insurance field with an agriculture background required. Knowledge of loan products and services, credit
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, problem solving, analytical, and negotiating, influencing, and consultative selling skills.
